Nov Omana, current San Francisco Bay Area Chapter Board Strategy Chair, is the recipient of this year's IHRIM Summit Award. The IHRIM Summit Award Program recognizes members who have made significant, long-term contributions to the advancement of IHRIM's mission and goals. The Summit Award winner facilities the exchange of ideas, solutions and information about issues impacting the management of human resource information. The individual also increases recognition and stature of the profession and heightens awareness of the value of human resource information to organizational management. In addition, he/she provides opportunities to increase member knowledge of human resource information management tools and technology, and influences and communicates legislative and global issues relating to human resource information management.

Bruce Walton, current San Francisco Bay Area Chapter Board CFO, is the recipient of this year's Member of the Year award. This award is presented to an individual within the chapter who exemplifies the spirit of volunteerism within IHRIM. This award is honored at the IHRIM annual conference (May 20-23, in Houston this year) and is on a "Wall of Fame" at the conference.

The San Francisco Bay Area Chapter of IHRIM (International Association for Human Resource Information Management) is your local community network in the world of HR information management, systems issues, trends, and technology.

IHRIM is the leading professional organization meeting the diverse needs of individuals interested in advancing the management of human resource information in support of organizational objective. The San Francisco Bay Area Chapter promotes professional growth through educational programs and provides opportunities for Bay Area members to share experiences, ideas and solutions that will help them add value to the companies through information technology and management.

The membership of the San Francisco Bay Area Chapter is made up of HRIS, HR and IT professionals in throughout the Bay Area and Northern California who want to learn how to use technology to enhance the management of human resources. We accomplish this through formal education, informal information sharing and networking. At the National Association level, IHRIM offers excellent educational opportunities through face-to-face conferences and seminars, publications, the website and list servers. Additionally, services are provided through “SIGs” – Special Interest Groups – such as Global and Security/Privacy.

The San Francisco Bay Area Chapter is currently one of 21 chapters providing another level of service. Through chapter programs and informal networking among members, we enhance the educational opportunities for HR/IT professionals throughout the Bay Area.
